The brackets are very functional. Need to remember to allow 1/4 inch space between wall and shelf as shelf will bind otherwise. I live in a condo unit with a very narrow patio, and attached the brackets under a window to allow for a folding shelf space when using my grill. I used 2" Tapcons to attach the shelf to the wall, knowing that I will not be placing anything heavy on it. Shelf is painted the color of the condo walls to allow it to "disappear" when folded down.

Good brackets; wish they had a little less side-to-side motion/racking, but that's only an issue because I am using them to hold up outfeed supports on my mortising table. One thing: when you're mounting these, make sure the top is not set absolutely flush with the back wall (or whatever you're mounting it too), since the shelf needs to lift up a bit beyond 90 degrees to engage and disengage the brace.

Very good and functional, however, you have to reach under the shelf to reengage the lock (not self locking like other retractable shelf brackets).

The brackets are great - perfect for our countertop project. The hardest part about installing them was getting the sticker off of the product! (We used a LOT of UnDu.) We like that the brackets are foldable, do not take up a lot of space under the counter - only about 5 inches and that they are heavy duty.
