I used the steel brackets to create four rows of 23 inch by 12 foot shelving as a wood storage system. Bolted into the studs with 5/16 by 2 inch lag bolts, I have very sturdy shelving for a variety of wood with good access and visibility, opening up a lot of floor space for woodworking projects and standing tools.

Used 3 HD brackets as a base for a 7' shelf style workbench mounted to studs in my garage. Very simple and sturdy (the wall studs flex a little when I pound on it, but the brackets do not). Vertical holes are big enough for a 5/16 lag screw, so this workbench will be there forever.

Needed to elevate my PC pancake compressor; these HD shelving brackets were 'just the ticket', as the photo attests to.

The brackets (either white or black) were not cut to 90 degrees. I used the brackets in furniture, that is cut to exactly 90 degree angles, so the brackets had to be shimmed, which turned out to be a problem because of the space confines. It seems that producing the brackets at a near perfect 90 degree angle would be easy enough, but this is not the case with these brackets. Also, they still flex when applying minimal weight to the top, which they support. I was disappointed with the product.

After recieving the brackets and inspecting them, the brackets were not square on both planes which made installing a turntable shelf more difficult than it should have been.I would up having to use shims like other people had described.
Fabricating shelf brackets is not rocket science. I would have returned them, but was pressed for time. I would not recommend these brackets to anyone needing a part that is dimensionally correct. Would not buy these again.

Sorry, but these brackets were a great disappointment. I bought 6 and all six were way out of square. Fortunately, due to the way they are manufactured, they could be disassembled, modified, reassembled. Unfortunately, I lost 2.5 hrs doing so on this job.
