Found the iron to work great, just wish the "holder" was bigger and constructed better when lying the iron down.

I bought this iron after I had purchased one from another vendor. The one I had purchased, the handle broke the first time I used it (very flimsy). The one from Rockler is construted much better. It worked like a charm. I wish the bottom had a teflon coating of some kind, but I would recommend this tool regardless.

Since I use an iron extensively in my tailoring and dressmaking I found that figuring out temperatures was easy. The dial could have been better designed, as setting already marked on the dial. Smaller head of this iron makes egdebanding much easier to apply than a regular iron.

The size of the iron and the levels of heat worked well for applying edge-banding to a cabinet project. The surface of the iron is poorly finished and I had to sand it smooth to prvent it from scratching the banding material. Even so, it left black smudges (not burns) on the work surface. Since I planned to paint everything, that was overcome, but I'll be using foil or kraft paper between the iron and the banding material in the future

I am refacing a large kitchen and the iron was my bread and butter tool. I just wish it had a point on the end to get into tight corners, inside the face frame corner.
"I use Rockler catalog & Internet. I've been a customer for a long time, and plan to continue for another. I recycle my catalogs, not through a program, I pass them on to others I know who might have use for them, or leave them in my doctors office for others to look at." -
