I, too, have a Shopsmith and use these roller stands to give me a level, sturdy base to support the majority of the plywood thru the saw. They are very sturdy, do not move around under pressure, and the foot leveling feature is a nice touch. That I need when setting up 6 of them to support 4x8 plywood that I use as an assembly table. Like many, my workshop is my garage and my inspiration (wife) needs to park her car at night.

I had several full sheets of 3/4" plywood that I needed to rip into smaller pieces for a project. I have several other projects lined up that will need similar cutting of wide or long stock. After researching several different stands, these seemed the most applicable for me. They arrived in good shape thanks to the substantial packaging (they're heavy!), and worked great for me. I asked my (no-woodworker) wife to help me lift and steady the 4X8 sheets , and we made several cuts using my Shopsmith. These rollers were stable and smooth and really helped with this project. Since using them on this project, I've looked at a number of smaller, lighter roller stands at box stores, and am even more pleased with the quality, durability and utility of these heavy-duty stands. Quality always costs less.

Rock solid. excellent finish, heavy duty height adjusting handle. This stand is the best I own. Not a lightweight, but I'll trade weight for stability and strength any day.

The fit and finish are excellent. The bearings on the roller are great - this thing spins for a LONG time when you spin it with your hand. It's heavy enough that it won't get knocked over when feed stock pushes up against it. Did I mention that it came fully assembled? This item may be the single most pleasant surpise of anything I have ordered from Rockler! Really a great item.

This roller stand works just as advertised. However, the markings to level the base would serve better if they could be viewed from above and not at floor level. Also the markings are very hard to read as they are the same color as the base itself. White letters might be a good choice. Also it would be helpful to add markings to the vertical post to preset the height of the roller. I super-glued a sewing tape to mine. A method to precisely raise and lower the roller with one hand would provide additional flexibility to the system.

I bought this roller stand to adjust thr width on my exterior doors with my joiner. the joiner I have only has a 48" bed so I used the roller stand to put behind the joiner and was able to level it to the the joiner bed and it worked perfect. Very stable product. I also use the ball bearing type and enjoy using both.
