The built-in scale is calibrated to read direct tabletop diameters when a 1/2'' router bit is used. Made of acrylic.

1) Submitted by Tim Shipley, from Elizabeth, COLORADO on 5/9/2009 Customer Rating: I read the article in Woodsmith Vol 30/No 179 Simple jigs for perfect circles. Perfect jig does make perfect pattern which makes perfect parts. Within a hour of the jigs delivery by UPS I had finished a 32 inch wide trim ring with 24 inch center opening. I attached the patern to my material blank and went to the router table with a flush trim bit I followed the patern once around the outside and once around the inside. Presto Perfect part which can be duplicated any time needed. Wow I am happy to take the credit but it really started with this jig. Thanks.

2) Submitted by Giuliano Gnugnoli, from Arlington, VA on 10/13/2008 Customer Rating: Works pretty well but the screws were too long for the "standard" Sears router resulting in too loose a fit on the router. Instead of fussing with the screws, I mounted the device with my router plate still attached and used a couple of thick washers at the pivot so that Jasper body stayed parallel to the wood. Actually, this is a little more convenient since you don't have to keep unmounting and remounting the router plate.
