This array of router bases allows minimum space between cutter and material which gives increased stability and control.

Opening in sizes 3/4'', 1-5/8'', 2'' and 2-1/2''are offered in clear polycarbonate material. The 1-1/8'' version is the Porter Cable replacement part for your 690 router. The 1-1/8'' replacement base accepts guide bushings.

They mounted perfectly on my model 690 and the screws recessed as they should. It even came with a set of screws. The Model 690 P/G router has bad visibilty, no light like other units, and with the factory plate, it was very hard to see what you were doing. With these clear plates it made the job of hand routering much more relaxed as you can see your work. Totally recoomend these to anyone that has the Model 690.

The base has a large diameter opening, so if you have one and want to use template bushings, you'll need one of these. The hole pattern is the same as the 690, so it is a perfect fit.

I modified it and it works now, but I'm trying the Porter Cable replacement to see if it's better.
