I made my own mortising table and fence but bought the rotary guides and installed them on my new table. I really appreciate being able to slide the piece easily from side to side so that I can cut the mortises. They also help hold the piece down as well as allowing it to slide. My machine has a hold down clamp that is designed to allow the chisel and auger to release from the piece but has nothing to hold the piece in place. The rotary guides do the trick. I'm glad that I got them.

I like the concept. But I certainly would have liked for it to come with a suggested method for assembly and integration onto the smaller base table of my mortising machine. It seems like the base table or backboard should be able to slide back and forth to allow for different widths of wood. But if I glue/screw the backboard in place, and screw the base table onto my existing base, then I would have to use wood on this units back wall to allow for varying thicknesses of wood that I plan to mortise. Where's the instruction sheet? What am I missing?
Editor's note: The instructions for this table will be the illustrations on the box itself. The fence is a MDF facing that will attached bringing in wood screws from the backside of the mortiser's cast iron fence.(Usually the cast iron fence has predrilled holes). When you adjust the cast iron fence of the mortiser the MDF fence faces move with it. The table is bolted to existing mortising machine table top by marking screw hole locations and counterboring holes for attachment,(no bolts or screws are provided for this purpose).
