The glides are very easy to install.
The foam ring serves as a "noise" eliminator when chairs are moved over tile floors. This feature impressed me more than any other, although the units are well designed and built. I have ordered eight sets and may be ordering more in the future.

Easy to install, quiet, BUT leaves skid marks on laminate flooring. Wife wants them replaced w/ felt! Guess who won???

Easy to install but absolutely left polished slide marks on my #2 oak flooring with commercial grade clear finish. This plastic is too hard for such flooring, but may be more suitable for other kinds of flooring. I'm returning to wool felt for chair glides.

These glides are easy to install, made of a thick plastic. These are nice for chairs, tables, sofas, etc.make sliding objects easy while protecting your finished hardwood floors.
