1) Submitted by Peggy, from Georgetown, TX on 11/21/2008 Customer Rating: We began using these tap-in chair glides on all the chairs in our restaurant back in 1996 or '97 to prevent noise from the sliding of chairs on our concrete floor. This latest order was installed on all our new chairs at our new restaurant site before we opened because we knew the product's effectiveness and reliability. In our experience of wear and tear on chair glides, we have found replacement needs to be minimal.

I just installed a set on some new chairs, the set I installed on my old chairs (10 years ago) are going strong without a failure, despite daily use fo the chairs at a dining table.

I used similar glides (tap-in style) previously that I had purchased at a home improvement store and they have lasted several years on tile floors. One glide needed replacing and I could not find tap-in glides at any stores in my area. I've only used one of the glides I purchased from you and it installed easily. I'll replace the others as needed. Time will tell if it is reliable.
