An additional $10.00 is added for an Electrical Branding Iron special heating unit. Per Canadian electrical standards the head is pinned and cannot be removed. Wiring and plug complies with Canadian electrical standards.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS (other than Canadian):
Note: The electrical branding irons offered are designed for use within the U.S. or countries with the same electrical standards. Due to varying electrical standards, international purchasers may need to provide a converter/adaptor (from their own sources) that will convert electrical current from their local electrical service to the U.S. standard 110 volt service with 3 wire plug.

I have the electric version, very solid and feels well made. The letters, logo looks like it's been cut on a CNC machine, very sharp and precise. Works great, I wish I had gotten it sooner for earlier projects- I'm not sure how it would work going through a finish, I'm not going to try.
Being able to attach multiple branding heads onto the electric handle would make this a better vaule.

I purchased one of your branding irons and am very, very impressed with it. The machining that went into the production of the iron is fantastic. The letters are sharp and very detailed. A must purchase for those that want to add that personal touch to their projects.

Doesn't perform as promised. I purchased the electric version of the branding iron (saw and plane) for my father as a present. The unit feels solid and appears to be of high quality but the results are lacking. The heat generated by the unit is insufficient to make a quality print. Even after a 20-minute heat up period the unit does a light branding at best. I've tried a variety of woods, hard maple to pine, and all the results were subpar. The soft woods did fare better than the hard woods. Everybody speaks highly of the these branding irons. I wonder if I got a bum unit. I'll speak to the folks at Rockler to see what my options are.
Editor's note: It sounds like the heating element inside the handle of the irona may have gotten broken in shipment. Our cutomer service at 800-279-4441 will be able to assist with replacing the heating element.

I enjoy the branding iron I purchased from you. The attention to detail it displays when used is second to none. I recommend it for use by all serious woodworkers to mark their skills and talents.
I am so satisfied with every product I purchase and will continue to make sure you are my only woodworking products supplier.
