This hardware is of good quality, but I found it lacking in design. The lid "support" will keep the lid from going back to far, but there is nothing in the design to secure the lid open. I used the support on a lid that was probably a bit large for the design of the support and I had to modify the support to allow the lid to open enough to stay put. On a smaller box without the extra weight in the lid, the support would probably work well, but it requires some care to install properly in a box with thin sides.

Looks great and works well but care must be taken when mortising in thin brittle stock to avoid breakout. Have had no problem with woods like walnut but figured cherry is tough to work with.

Worked well for a small box. Directions were clear and simple for installation. Rabitting the insertion grove requires significant set up time and is critical for proper performance.
