This is an excellent panel saw set up! The extruded aluminum components are absolutely top quality and function perfectly. The user is responsible for constructing the wood base frame for the unit and setting it up correctly, however, anyone that realizes the need for a panel saw is already enough of a craftsman to have those skills. I used a built up acrylic plastic base for my Porter Cable 324 mag saw with an added acrylic shoe that rides on the surface of the 3/4" panels being cut to virtually eliminate tear out. The dust pickup port on the Porter Cable saw virtually eliminates saw dust problems.
Anyone who is a serious woodworker should have no reservations about this panel saw unit!

Maybe it works. Just a cut above a concept sketch on a restaurant napkin. Going to look elsewhere for plans that read less like a novel and more like a plan. Should have spent the money on a mocha.

Details are very poor. I spent more time looking at the picture to see how thigs are put togeather. Needs for more detail.

The idea may be okay but the plans are the worst.

I have used the plans and assembled the saw, and the only limit to this saw, is the power of your saw, and the power of the imagination. I have seen the saws the box stores use, and this thing by comparison, is every bit as good. I use this saw at least 3 times a week splitting plywood for flooring repairs, and ripping down for cabinets.
