Oneway recommends using an 8'' dia. wheel turning at the standard
3450 RPM.

properly shape and maintain the edge on standard bowl gouges, the
modern side grind, and the traditional fingernail shape for spindle work

The Jig has small holes and gauge like super flute bowl gauge is not gonna fit - shame! You have to fix it. What is the problem to make bigger holes?

Great jig! Easy to use and set up. Gets my tools razor sharp. This jig gets five stars but Rockler gets no stars. I tried to buy this jig and a Delta VS grinder and the sales man told me that they didn't carry any in the store and to go to [local home center] where they are cheaper. I asked him if he could order it to the store for me and he tried to charge me ten dollars extra for it. I don't think I will be shopping at Rockler unless I have to.

Oneway Vari-Grind...bought this to sharpen my bowl gouges and fingernail grind spindle gouges..once I found the correct settings...thanxs Doug Thompson...It has worked great, it keeps a uniform grind on the gouges and if I do my part a perfect grind..In saying that you will still need to watch your grind as you grind to make sure you don't make the gouge to pointy.
All in all, the Oneway Wolverine Grinding jig with the Vari-Grind jig is all you will ever need to keep your turning tools sharp and correctly shaped....I very much recommend it a A++++......jw
"My new favourite store!
I just finshed my very first woodworking project (A workbench of course...couldn't do much without it!) and I can honestly say I did it mistake-free because of the advice from Charlie at the Rockler Store on S.Lyndale Ave. in Minneapolis.
He sold me what I needed, not what I thought I needed. (which would have been about twice as much!) He was very patient with all my questions, and gave me great advice on how to do things.
These folks are knowledgable and extremely helpful.
Charlie & Rockler - Thank You for all your help and all your future help!
- A new loyal customer." -
