Choose from 2" and 3" True Turn woodturning faceplates and center marker. Great for bowl blanks, jam chucks and other turning needs of the woodworker!
True Turn faceplates are CNC machined from 6061 extruded aluminum and anodized for high quality and consistency, making them light, strong and durable. Each faceplate has eight screw holes for secure mounting to your work piece, allowing the use of smaller diameter faceplates for better access to your work and much less wood loss. Before you remove the faceplate from your work, be sure to mark it with a True Turn center finder. It will insure that your tailstock is centered when you remount your piece.

I'm using both the 2" and 3" faceplates and am very satisfied with the quality of both. The aluminum construction makes them light weight yet rugged. With the 2" faceplate I have to use #8 screws with the heads slightly turned down for clearance, instead of #10 screws which the mounting holes seem to be sized for. However, mounting with (8) #8 screws has been very adequate for my needs. I use #10 screws with the 3" plate.

I purchased this 2” faceplate to make jam chucks for turning Native American flutes instead of purchasing a forstner bit, a spindle tap and a lathe drill bit chuck. With this faceplate it is much easier to attach a block of maple and turn it than it is to drill and tap, then turn. A nice time and cost saver…I like that. The faceplate is very well constructed, light weight and durable. I would not hesitate to recommend this product for all of you small turning needs.
