Great for turning projects. Use the outside/inside caliper for getting accurate measurements on hollow- vessel turning. Double - ended caliper allows transfer of measurement without removing caliper from you work.

I just finshed my very first woodworking project (A workbench of course...couldn't do much without it!) and I can honestly say I did it mistake-free because of the advice from Charlie at the Rockler Store on S.Lyndale Ave. in Minneapolis.
He sold me what I needed, not what I thought I needed. (which would have been about twice as much!) He was very patient with all my questions, and gave me great advice on how to do things.
These folks are knowledgable and extremely helpful.
