Item #27351 fits a 30 gallon can and has 4'' inlet and outlet.
Item #90343 can be used with a 5 gallon plastic bucket to connect to a shop vacuum. Inlet and outlet are 2 1/4'' and require the use of our #34654 shopvac adaptor when using 2-1/2" clear (#22784).
Optional #25516 Dust Right Tool Port is available for use with #27351 large dust collection separator and 4" hose connections.

Just hooked up and used the large model. While I haven't followed the advice to use foam tape at the seal between the lid and can, I can tell it will help .. but only a little...
The unit, as is, without any modification, works very nicely.
For those on a budget, with limited space, or both (like me), this is a great alternative to a full blown two stage system.
You will need something like the connectors 88535 to attach your hose to the lid unit.. and don't forget the hose clamps.
The dreaded days of taking off the bag are, for the most part, gone.

It works great with my 4-inch dust collection system. I have a fairly small portable Delta dust collection system and it was continually getting clogged by planer shavings. My first thought was that I need a bigger system, but I decided to try this cheaper alternative and it works great. As mentioned by others you do need to use a metal trash can since it does not fit most plastic ones, but I found no need for other accessories to make it work. The 4" flexible hoses that I have on my system screw into the holes on the separator, and the suction when the system is running holds this cover to the can.

Don't expect the mini separator (90343) to fit each and every 5-gallon bucket out there; there are no standard dimensions for buckets, so you may have to look around a bit. I was lucky enough to have one in my collection onto which it fit snugly. The 2.5" hose of my Shop-Vac brand vacuum fits a bit loosely in the separator's port(s), but a length of Rockler's 2.5" hose fit snugly in the other, and neither connection leaks enough to degrade the system's performance. It does a good job of taking the coarser sawdust and chunks out of the airstream. Worth the investment, but be prepared to do some fiddling to get things right.

I ordered the mini for use in my basement workshop. It fits perfectly over the orange 5 gal. paint bucket purchased from the BORG for under $3. The wire handle of the bucket can be used to lock the lid in place. No tape nor bungee cord is required. By the way, I used the black hose that came with the shop vac. Happy to have it.

I can't afford a dust collection system and I don't have the space for one so this works great for a small shop like mine.

I used the mini #90343, worked very good for me. I would say it kept 75% of the saw dust from going into the vacum cleaner

I love this item !!! Could not find anything that comes close to working as well in this price range or any for that matter. I found a very simple way to hook up the hoses. Just glue 27651 4" Couplings into it and hose attachment is a breeze. Add foam tape to the top of the can and you are done. The hard part was finding a metal trash can just about everything I could find was plastic and would not fit.
