Adjustable, replaceable heel lets you safely push different wood thicknesses on the table saw - as seen on The New Yankee Workshop!

Unlike wood push sticks, this unique safety tool has self-lubricating properties to reduce kickback from blade contact!

  • Parallel guide rails on unit’s underside and twin legs of heel allow Hand Guard to straddle the blade and keep fingers out of harm’s way.
  • Heel adjusts for wood thicknesses with locking positions of 1/8", 3/8", 5/8" and 7/8" depth.
  • Heel also rotates into closed position for shaping operations.
  • Comes “ready to rip” with one heel in the legs down ripp only position.
  • Plastic.
  • Adjustable polypropylene heel with locking key points

I've used this hand guard for a while and find it does what it is supposed to do. I like the fact that it can wrap around a corner because the bottom is open along the center. This makes it useful on the router table where I can apply force both down and against the fence.

Works great. Feels much safer than using my homemade push stick.

Working with wood for a hobby for some forty plus years I still have all my fingers. I find this push block one of the best safty push blocks ever. I use it with the jointer-shaper-planer where I get wood down to a quarter inch and can still feel safe not getting my fingers into the blades.

Fits my hand really well giving me a sure safe, much needed 100% holding down and forward aid in pushing the wood or sometimes plastic sheets I work with, through the cutting blade. Gives me a feeling of added confidence. I love it, I use in the shape only settings on my router table, as though I'm pushing wood through a jointer, the same way, hand guard holds the wood down and in-ward & with the heel behind the wood backs up the wood to aid in giving me a even smooth router cut.
When I'm cutting on my band saw, hand guard keeps the blade tracking on the cutting line really clean with out any waste, for power tool safety aid. Is the number 1 tool on the cutting edge of performance.
