I have the 12" version. It is most wonderful to have such precision at that length. I like that I can use it for hardware layouts on curved box front surfaces. The 12" version is too long and unwieldy for many applications. I will get a short one as well, for border, molding, and edge layouts.

I aready had a 18" Incra T-Rule but it can be "unruley" when trying to mark on smaller boards, especially on the edges.
The 3" Tiny-T is just right for doing markings on small pieces or board edges. Great for doing mortise layout etc.
I've also added the 6" T-Rule and Incra protractor to my layout tools collection.
Incra makes a great product!

I got the 12" version for myself and have fallen in love with it since the very first time I used it. It does take a little getting used to, but once you get the hang of where the scales are it is very fast and convenient.

I have the 6" version and could not imagine getting along without it. Layout is so much easier... everything from mortises to pulls. Accurate to 1/64, this little rule has saved me a lot of setup time because I have found that my test cuts end up being right on target. Be sure you have a mechnical pencil though... it won't work without one. Check out the regular rules... also very handy.

I bought the 6" version, and I must say it is a pleasure to use. It takes a little while to get used to the large amount of information on the face (there are a LOT of holes and a lot of markings), but as long as you double check what you're doing, accurate measurements are easy to get.
