The Hidden Link system works as advertised. It was easy to install and gave a very finished look to my built-ins.. I don't have to open the doors to access the equipment. Worth the money.

Ordered the Dual Emitter the Plasma Micro Link and a 6 Port Connection Block. System could only operate my Plasma TV. Did not operate with my DirecTv cable network nor did it operate my surround sound system. Would recomend if you just need to have your Plasma turned on and off along with volume control.

The Hidden Link system works as advertised. Easy to install and gave a very finished look to my built-ins. I plan on using the system again in my next project. Definitely worth the money.

Purchased a Micro Link for Plasma set based on what was in the catalog. The catalog states, "Micro Link systems each include infrared receiver power source and four single emitters--enough for four components." Listed is the "Micro Link System" and immediately under that is "Micro Link for Plasma TV". My assumption (because there was nothing to indicate otherwise) was that the only difference between the two options was that one was for non-plasma TVs and the other was for Plasma TVs. I ordered the Plasma "system". I was dismayed to find out that, despite the additional $55, the Micro Link for Plasma only has ONE emitter, for one component. If you want the additional capacity of the less expensive "Micro Link System" you have to pay an additional $70 for a new connection block and two dual emmitters. To say I'm irritated, is an understatement.
[Editor's note: the "More Info" tab details the differences, including how many emitters are included.]

I build custom furniture and have used the micro link a number of times and my customers love it, I also used it in my own entertainment center and would not build another without it!

I purchased two of the Micro-link kits. One was for a LCD flat screen TV (and associated A/V equip) and the other was for a Plasma flat screen. I took the chance on using the regular kit for a plasma, and it worked great. No interference from the plasma. The customer is very happy. The other one doesn't work with the LCD flat screen. They mention a plasma kit, but after going to the manufacturer's website, I find that there is also a LCD proof IR Receiver kit.[]
I do love the look and the "wow" factor that it gives my clients, I recommend going with the proper IR Receiver set-up, and Rockler needs to offer the LCD proof receiver.
Editor's note: We'll suggest to our product folks that they consider offering a LCD receiver version.
