I also use the "Little Red Caps" for fuel bladders in model aircraft. I use them for Pressure Bladders for Model Engine Glow Fuel in SAM Radio Assist Competition. They are excellent in this application. I know of a number of other modelers who are now or soon will be using Little Red Caps for this application.

Why didn't I think of these? Keeping my open caulk and silicone fresh was a problem until now. No more waste.

I love this product. When I was finished with one of my projects, I would stick a screw or a nail in the tip. Then, when I was ready to use the caulk again, the screw or nail would be stuck in the harden caulk. This product will save me from throwing away a lot of tubes of caulk, glue, or anything that comes in a tube. I always clean off the tip before I place the cap over it. That way it is easier for the cap to roll up and you can use it again.

I have a totally different use for the Little Red Caps. I use them as fuel tanks for model aircraft. Secured onto a fitting with a fuel line attached, they can be filled with a syringe with fuel for an engine. The elasticity of the Red Cap means that the fuel will be delivered to the engine under light pressure, insuring a steady engine run. The Red Caps are impervious to the effects of the fuel, so they last a while. An excellent product!! This is not my original idea, many of us use these Caps for fueling model aircraft that are FreeFlight models. [no radios]

Finally a solution that works to seals caulking tubes that are partly used. To use, put the cap on the end and then partially fill it with the tube product. The product hardens outside the tip inside the little red cap. Instead of having a nail dried hard insite the tube you can pull off the cap and the dried material. The cap usually doesn't stick to the product and can be reused if you remove the dried product.
