I have used this oil for years on cutting boards I make for friends and family. They are end grain cuts facing up and the oil sokes in great and last a long time between putting more on. Just soak on the board and let sit for a time and wipe off what does not soak in with a cloth. I have gone threw about 12 bottles and love it.

This product works as advertised. I used several applications on these new cutting boards and let it soak in between each application.
I also used it on a couple of older cutting boards, which only required a single application. Just wipe it on, wait a few minutes and wipe off the excess. The oil soaks right in and does not leave an oily feel to the surface.
These 3 cutting boards were made as gifts for family members so I purchased 3 more bottles of the Butcher Block Oil to give with the boards.
"I am disabled and my doctors advised me to get a hobby of some kind. After a lot of consideration and talks with my 13yr old son, we decided on woodworking. We turned an extra bedroom into a workshop and we now both just love it. I have done business with many companies on the internet and on the phone ( not just woodworking companies) and i have never found a company that gets an A+ on everything like Rockler does. Rockler has very kind people that treat you well over the phone and they stand behind their products 100% like no other company i have ever done business with. You can be sure that my son and myself will always be Rockler customers." -
