1) Submitted by David, from Minnetonka, MN on 1/14/2009 Customer Rating: Very quiet, cuts nicely. The only issue I have is the fence. It has positve stops at 0 and 45, but if you don't carefully tighten the fence it easily comes out of alignment. I have to double check the squareness of the fence before cutting. Overall, a great value.

2) Submitted by Doug, from Dayton, OH on 4/17/2008 Customer Rating: Very solid jointer. I bought it used and didn't expect much, but knowing it was a Delta I knew that thought would be short-lived. It's done a great job and I've never had a problem with it, edges are always smooth almost to the point you cut yourself on the corners. Very solid machine.

I don't have a cabinet shop, just a small shop. I use to make small items such as tables, chairs, benches, planters, etc. This little tool has fulfilled all my requirments. It is easy to set up, adjust, and use. If you are a beginner or a seasoned old woodworker like me, this Delta jointer/planer will do the work you require.

4) Submitted by Ben , from Centerville, MN on 8/4/2006 Bought this jointer about 5 years ago. I am pleased with it. High quality product, little snipe... It is hard to pass a 4'+ board through it due to the size of the wood and the machine but if bolted to a workstation it is doable. Performs well and has plenty of capacity. I have even planed boards 5"- wide on it and it has done well. Definitely consider dust collection even as small as a shop vac. I now have a dust collector hooked to it and it works well. I wouldn't buy bigger such as stationary jointers as this works well unless you have a cabinet shop type operation. Why spend the x-tra $ when this will do the job? Very pleased and no problems.
