Solid & well made.

I used this part to repair a 40 year old swivel-rocking chair for our living room. The light-duty original swivel had failed, leaving the chair unstable and difficult to swivel. Now the chair is totally stable & rotates MUCH easier. I wish I had found this part years ago. Now I have a chair that works better than it did when new. I used 1/4 X 20 hardware to mount it to the frame and everything worked well... plenty of clearance for the bolt heads. It's well worth the price for the extra heavy-duty unit. Thanks, Rockler

This rigid heavy duty swivel is the simple solution to the simple problem of getting to the back of the TV, VCR & DVD player. The swivel covered from view with a 3/4" skirt that also added stength and a solid look to the cabinet's base. The 8 holes square pre-taper for carriage boltsmade securing the swivel a breeze, Thanks Rockler!

Very solidly built-race is completely filled with 65 ball bearings, so there is no nylon spacer. The techdoc says it has square holes 5/16" on a side! instead it came with rectangular holes that were too small for a 5/16" carriage bolt and too loose for a 1/4" one. I had to file each hole a bit in order for the carriage bolt head to fit and seat firmly.
