Sandmaster - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

Health & Safety
Maintenance

Use eye protection and dust mask when using the Sandmaster.
Always ensure there is a slight gap between bush and main body. Place a spot of oil on bearing before each use.
Sanding
Allow the sanding disc to run freely on the workpiece with the lathe running at a maximum of 1500 RPM
Keep sanding disc moving over workpiece with minimum pressure to reduce excessive heat build up.
Do not allow the abrasive disc to become smooth as this will over-heat the workpiece and potential damage may occur.
When removing abrasive discs, place thumb over edge of pad to avoid damage to the sponge pad.
Finishing
By fitting a pigtail mandrel and cotton mop - these are optional extras- the Sandmaster becomes a handy buffing tool. Simply add wax or oil for a fine finish.
Optional Extras
Your Sandmaster comes complete with a 2" sanding pad and 2" abrasives in 60,120, 180, 240 and 400 grit.
