Festool CT Midi Dust Extractor
2) Submitted by Peter from IN
on 2/1/2010
Very happy with my CT Midi. It pulls dust effectively from every tool I have hooked to it, and it's quiet. The tool activation is great. It's so nice not to have to turn on the vacuum, use the tool, turn off the vacuum every time. The anti-static …

This dust collector is unbelievable! It's so quiet, yet powerful. And well conceived as I'm coming to realize is true of all Festool's product line. My old "up and down bagger" collector is for sale!

Anything Festool is going to work and be well engineered. This clamp is no exception. Love it! Just ordered an additional Festool guide and connectors so I can cut full 8' sheets in one pass with no errors. These clamps will make that very simple.
Festool Centrotec® Pilotless Countersink
6) Submitted by Boris Zilberman, from Millstone Township, NJ
on 4/13/2008
I currently own number of Festool tools - except for the drill. Having 7 different drills already (corded and cordless), I just couldn't justify spending over $500 bucks for the drill. But having used Festool tools and accessories, I have long …

Festool—A History of Quality and Innovation

In 1925, Gottlieb Stoll and Albert Fezer founded the Festo company, a German manufacturer of high-quality, innovative woodworking machines. Just four years later, the pair developed the first portable chainsaw, a revolutionary tool for consumers and industry alike. When the company tapped its engineering prowess to expand into industrial automation, they adopted the Festool name to refer to the original woodworking line. Over the years, Festool went on to roll out numerous industry benchmarks, including the first orbital sander, the first eccentric sander, the Rotex® dual-mode sander, the first brushless drill driver, and the revolutionary DOMINO® tenon joiner. Today, the Festool name is recognized as an industry leader and revered as the producer of some of the highest quality tools one can own.

Festool has a reputation for meticulous precision, attention to detail, and impeccable ergonomics. Product developers for the company visit real-world shops to study how woodworkers ply their craft. They then design tools that eliminate unnecessary steps, improve accuracy and produce finer results. Festool engineers tailor their tools precisely to the human hand. They study the way woodworkers move and refine the ergonomics to make the motions as natural and comfortable as possible, even with prolonged use.

At Festool, it is regarded as no coincidence that the tools work so well as a system—it is a principle. Each tool is designed with its neighboring tool in mind. Dust extraction, for example, is seamlessly integrated into every tool. Turn the tool on and off and the vacuum automatically turns on and off. The Systainer storage cases that come with every tool click neatly onto one another, as well as on top of the dust extractors. Simply close the case, click it in place and roll your entire workstation to the next work area. The famous Festool guide rails work with routers and plunge cut saws alike, allowing you to pack a small woodworking shop into a couple of Systainer cases. In addition, everything is designed to be operated and adjusted with nothing more than your fingers.

Over the years, Festool has produced numerous patents and new technologies, but they are constantly reassessing old achievements to refine each tool in every possible way. High tolerances, low vibration, excellent heat dissipation and top-quality materials combine to make quiet, comfortable, durable tools that help you work, "Faster, Easier and Smarter."
