Casting is a bit rough, so vise didn't mount quite parallel with bench top. Could probably be cured by grinding. Also, the screw holes for the wooden face on the moving jaw were cast too big, so that the screw threads were only in paint. With only a little tightening they pulled right out, so had to use through-bolts.

I really have no experience to rate this tool. It was purchased as a gift for my son. He seemed quite pleased with the gift. The shipping time was excellent. The box arrived a bit damaged but the tool seemed in good shape.

I was disappointed in the quality and workmanship in this vise. The mounting surface was not parallel to the top of the jaws nor were the jaws parallel to each other. The holes for mounting the wood blocks were not parallel to the top of the jaws as well.

I've installed this vice on my workbench and like it.
"I'm also very pleased with Rockler's fast expedient service. I'm in Anchorage, AK and shipping sometimes is slow. Not with Rockler, one week usually and that's receiving 4 ft T-track (which I just love to death). Rockler rocks just like Kings of Leon.
