Yeung Chan is a leading furniture designer, craftsman, and teacher. He studied under James Krenov at The College of the Redwoods in Fort Bragg, California, and has created many award-winning furniture designs, including winning American Woodworker magazine's "Excellence in Craftsmanship" award-twice.

Chan owns a furniture shop in the San Francisco Bay area, where he designs and makes one-of-a-kind furniture pieces, builds prototypes for the furniture industry, and writes about woodworking and toolmaking. He's an avid instructor, and travels the country teaching and demonstrating at woodworking schools and symposiums.

This is a very good book and is full of lots of good jointing techniques. I wish there were a few more illustrations for some techniques showing step by step illustations and not word for word phrasing so it would be a bit easier to follow.
