I found this book to be a very practical approach to building a workbench. In addition it covers the baiscs on how to use one and the various tools one can emply to make the bench more useful. It has a couple of chapters dedicated to discussing the various types of benches available which I found very useful in planning what I am currently building. I would recommend it to anyone planning to either buy or build a bench for the workshop.
