Completely dry to the touch, the lube finish reduces friction for easier installation and protects the screws from surface rust. Square Drive allows freedom from slippage and marring. Requires #2 Square Driver.
Sharp thread angle cuts into wood to prevent splitting. Screws resists pullout with threads that cut nearly perpendicular. Slight but strong body minimizes distortion of material. Sharp point digs in with pin point accuracy.

These screws are the best, I have tried others but keep coming back to Rockler because of the dependability and ease of use.

I admitedly on occasion overdrive screws. I also use an impact driver. The orange and blue box stores screw's would constantly snap heads off or strip out the heads. (Yes I drill appropriate holes for the screws and used new bits etc..) These square drive screws I have had zero snapped heads and zero stripped heads. And honestly price wise they are almost if not right in line with the 100 packs at the box stores for the inferior screws. I am very happy with these and plan to continue to buy them as a new size comes up until I have a good stock of them.

The square drive is excellent but the "modern" thread design is best of all. The shank of the screw is smaller than the thread width, no binding when you drive it into a pilot hole. The lubricated threads and shank probably add a lot. Easiest driving screw ever. I'm building a Murphy bed to add a third bedroom without adding on. Thanks Rockler!!!

Besides driving in easily, the square drive does not tear out.

When ever possible, I use square drives. And the truely square head, not the combination square/Philips that do not work well with either.
