Titebond Cold Press for Veneer is a high-quality glue, for large-scale bonding of veneers to flat surfaces using a Vacuum Press or Veneer Press.
It is specifically formulated for cold press laminating of wood to solid woods, particleboard, MDF, plywood and other porous materials.
Titebond Cold Press offers a moderate speed of set, a translucent glue line and contains none of the harmful or corrosive fumes typical of most contact cements. It also prevents bleed-through on open-grained and unbacked wood veneers.

Quite frankly, this is my "go to" glue. I use it for all kinds of applications and find it dries very hard and stable. The project photo shows a table top marquetry project that had many gluing steps. The long set time of this glue is perfect for both small and large veneering projects where considerable adjustment and clamping time is anticipated.

First, this only comes in a light brown color, not the 'clear translucent' it claims. Rockler offered to take it back, but I thought I could find a use for it. I wish I had sent it back. I used it on a glue up of birdseye maple on maple ply and it did not adhere very well. I actually removed the veneer and re-glued with another brand two-part adhesive. I have a lot of experience with veneering with a vacuum bag and normally use that other adhesive with great results. I later tried the titebond again with a bent wood lamination project that also de-laminated and cracked.

I have used this product on two different applications. My first was veneering flat panels of MDF using clamps. This application was excellent. I experienced no bleed through nor curling. Since production there has been no checking, bubbles or splitting of the veneer. My second application was forming of a curved section of wood using four layers of 1/8 inch bending plywood clamped to a fixture. This application also came out very well and quite strong, but may be a misapplication of the product. I have put in questions to Franklin to see if the glue has too much creep for this application but they have not answered the query. In my observation, this glue dries very much harder than Titebond wood glues. The open time (20 min)was less than I really needed for the complexity of the glue up. For this reason I will probably switch a glue with a longer open time for my next curved project.

Used this product on a small table top, 1st time veneering, turned out great. I used a vacuum bag but I suppose you could use a press or just weight.
