I concur with all others that have critiqued this offering. The self-stick strips are inferior. I used 3M Yellow along the sides and every 10 CD spaces. I used the on-line pattern but added an 1/8" width to every vertical column to allow for variance of the wood material. I also added 5 1/2" at the bottom of the shelf unit to accmodate compilation CD's.

The plastic strips are easy to work with and cut. I had to call customer service to figure out the glue strips and they were helpful. The glue strips themselves did not hold for me and I had to find other adhesives to work.

As for the product the tape was useless and used glue to hold the strip in place. The rest of the product is great and also a big hit for many people to have in their homes due to it blends in well with their interior designs. Rockler service was better online than the actual store.

The strips are convenient, albeit somewhat expensive for a cheap piece of plastic but other alternatives were not easily found. I guess one could router the grooves given the time and energy. The tape does [\\\\]- I used 3M tape which increased the cost of this product significantly. I redesigned the rack to three shelves about 36" wide and it sits on a desktop.

I would rate this as an excellent product but the tape that comes with it is awful. A better quality 2 sided tape did not work either. I finally used Liquid Nails small project adhesive and that seems to be ok. The price was way too high for a roll of plastic, but there are really no other alternatives out their. In the end, building the CD rack (thanks Rockler for the free plans) was a fun project with my 10 year old son, and he is thrilled with the results.

I just finished a 4 ft. version of this CD holder. It was very easy to cut the holders to the length I needed. The supplied tape was very effective, but was a little difficult to work with. Thanks for such a great product.

The tape supplied with this product was very difficult to work with. But the DVD holder itself was easy to work with.
