Worked as I expected. Just like the furniture you buy and assemble. I used 3/4" plywood for my project and ordered the 3/4" kit. I think it might be better to use the 1/2" for 3/4" plywood as you have to go about 3/4 of the way through the wood. One small slip and you can go all the way through. Plus you really need to use metric drill bits as English ones (even though close in size) won't work as well.

I used these to replace cams shipped with RTA product I ordered. The cam that came with the cabinet cracked and broke quite easily. These were solid and really improved the stability of the cabinets and while cams fit with inserts already in place; I did replace several of those as well.

I used these Minifix fittings to hold the center top onto an ELL shaped desk and they worked very well. They pulled the 2 side cabinets tight and held the top down flush with the sides!

I used these to hold a table top onto a cabinet base. They look good, and pull the top tight onto its base (3/4" uprights). One a large item you have to be real careful on your placement accuracy, the holes need to be right on target. Keep in mind that if you use them on material that is not 3/4" or 1/2" you have to offset and adjust the holes accordingly, otherwise the insert may sit too deep.

When combined with the tools recommended by Rockler these are a breeze to install and hold really well. I tried three different types of these knockdown cam-style pieces and all but these failed to hold onto the stock (3/4 inch veneered plywood). These held rock solid inside the soft wood thanks to the expanding grip. The only problem I see with them is since the post is pretty thin it's easy for it to get off-center from the hole you've drilled. I had to get into the stock with a small screwdriver to pull the post back into center so the cam would grab onto it (otherwise the cam would just push the stock back out when trying to tighten it). I highly recommend these guys. Make sure you get the minifix jig though!

I used the Minifix (KD) fittings on the sides of my bookshelves that I was building. The installation was quick and easy as well as being accurate.

I love the minifix fittings. I have used them in making cabinets and bookcases. They are great and hold pieces together better than nails.
"I just started woodworking about a year ago. When I start something, I go all out. In one year I have filled a shop with equipment, used and new. Rockler has helped me do this affordably and has helped me buy the absolute best products. Even when I have no clue what it does or how it works. You have helped me with the know how to complete my projects and I will keep coming back for years to come! Thank you Rockler." -
