The Frame Master Point Driver holds your artwork and backing material securely in wood frames. Keeps the work from shifting by driving without breaking glass or damaging frame or artwork. Lightweight design and full-grip trigger provide comfortable firing, while spring adjustment allows just the right amount of firing power for the density of the wood. Magazine holds 100, 5/8'' long points. Fires one point at a time.

This is constructed of the same glass-filled nylon as is used in my 15-year-old Matfer Mandoline (a food slicer for those of you who confine your cutting to the shop). It is quite sturdy, and works like a champ. Since it's *not* metal, I don't need to worry about it corroding over time. Sets the points very well, and even though a bit pricey, made its cost back on the very first use framing 3 12x18 photos.

For the price, I expected a metal body tool instead of plastic. However, the tool performs very well and the points used by the tool are an excellent way to mount paintings in wooden frames.
