Clean design and sturdy construction of Shaker and Mission styling make these tables a comfortable addition to any décor. This single project plan contains plans for a coffe table, end table and sofa table all featuring a generously sized storage shelf below for magazines, books, or knick-knacks.

The three dimensional assembly drawings include easy to read step-by-step instructions. Patterns are provided for any difficult or curved pieces. The plan uses classic Mission Style through mortises and the bottom stretchers are slightly curved.

Complete lumber requirements and cutting diagrams are included. No special hardware is required.

First project of this size. Made a few changes since was making out of cherry. Used plans as guide to make my square coffee table. Fun to make. Going to make end table too.

This was my first piece of furniture and I thought the plans were very easy to understand. I made 2 alterations to the plans. First, I didn't make the thru tendons I made them 1/2" like the shorter ones. I also flipped the long side rails so that the tendon was on the inside rather than the outside. I wasn't comfortable that my mortise would be perfect so any defect would show. If you do this the bottom shelf has to be made wider.
I made the coffee table so far and am now working on the end tables. I also plan on making the sofa table. I will definitely buy more plans from Rockler.

This was my first attempt at fine woodworking. I found the plans well done and noted, The instructions were also clear. I adapted the plans to install a lift mechanism for a coffee table and was able to modify the drawings quite easily. I made my table out of cherry and am very pleased with the way it went together. I did elect to not make a thru mortise and tendon joint shown on the rails, I went with partial joints. This was because I doubted my ability to make a clean clean joint.

I have to disagree with Kevin's opinion of this product. I read his negative review and ordered the plans for these tables anyway. I'm just starting to build furniture after doing my own home repairs for 30 years. I have little experience with high accuracy woodworking, other than knocking together a few bookshelves. These plans are crystal clear, with logical, stepwise directions, and I can't wait to get started!

The table is nice but the plans are not what I expected. It is two large (approx 24"x36") drawings with hard to read generic instructions. I am only about 8 years into woodworking and usually buy plans to help me learn new techniques. These were little to no use. Sure the dimensions are there but not much else. Also, the format was undesirable.
