This router is no light weight! It is ideal when mounted in a router table as it has the strength to run any bit you can put in it. If you are making raised panels and/or stiles and rails you can't do better. I built the Norm table and use this router exclusively in it. My only complaint is micro-adjusting. I built a fixture to make the adjustments while the router is mounted in the table. I would love to see an inexpensive router lift device for this router. Adjustment knob as an option, but there is no detail.

It's just as David said. It's one strong router and I also made Norm's table for my router. I did install a lift for it that In got at a local woodworker show last Christmas and altered the Rockler router plate to use with it. They both work great! I am now using a the smaller version for those lighter jobs(693).
