The Proman is a solid performer for many home shops, while the Champion is a top of the line model offering both large capacity and the ability to make complicated cuts. Offers preset positions at 22-1/2°, 45° and 90°. Includes a general purpose blade (93774). Maximum cutting depth 7'' . Maximum cutting width is 5'' at 45° and 8'' at 90°.

I am extremely pleased with this saw. Out of the box it is somewhat daunting at first due to the large number of parts that need to be assembled. However, the exploded drawing used to show how to put it together is well done, and after studying the pieces went together easily.
This saw is well made and sturdy. The arms used to secure the wood in position are strong and easy to position, and reposition. There are stops to set the depth of the cut, and the preset angle positions snap snugly into place. It is also very quick and easy to change any of the angle settings or the direction of the wood.
Note that after assembly I had one extra piece - a "Leaf Spring". This was on the list, but not numbered. Turns out it is an supplemental piece and not part of the assembly, but used to secure the saw when moving it. (See the description for "parallel parking".)

My husband picked out a less expensive miter saw for Christmas, but I decided to get him this one instead. He loves it and it already making cork boards and trivets with all the wine corks we have saved for everyone we know! It is very good quality and would definitely buy it again.
