Re-designed handle includes two storage compartments for self-centering bits!

Insert shelf pin in top or bottom position to extend jig for continuous drilling.

I purchased this on sale but it would have easily been worth paying full price. Works great as is but I would recommend securing it to your workpiece with a piece of masking or painters tape.
I made a bookcase for my Grandson using the shelf pins with sleeves. He commented to me that the holes were so precise that they looked machine made.

This is a great jig and works well. While not impacting the function yet, it is showing some wear after just a few projects. I would like to see this product made with some metal sleeves or grommets in the holes so the bit guide wouldn't eat away at the plastic.

I drilled 408 holes using this jig. It worked flawlessly. Use of masking tape to hold an aligning pin when working vertically helps greatly. This is one of those tools every woodworker should own.

For those having difficulty with keeping the jig aligned or keeping it from slipping...Place a shelf pin in the bottom/top hole after drilling the first hole. This will lock the jig in place so that spacing will be consistent.

Bought this jig some time ago anticipating a future project...and the project arose: an entertainment center for my daughter. Just loved this jig. Where I had previously used inset brackets for shelving heretofore for fear of mis-aligning pin holes, the shelving jig made the alignment of correctly-spaced pin holes a breeze. Moreover, the self-centering bit is just a joy to use. I made provision for four shelves in minutes and with less hassle than any previous process. In short, I heartily recommend this jig...and centering bits... for any furniture builder.
