I ordered 5 Cherry dowels for my Cherry Boston Rocker I made and they all arrived in perfect condition. I then needed to order one more. Fortunately I ordered two "just in case". Thankfully I did because one was broken.

I bought cherry as well as walnut dowels. Both were received promptly and in excellent condition. They were uniform in color and machined to the exact size. I would order again without hesitation.

The ¼” cherry rods were promptly shipped and packaged well. As shown in the online picture, I anticipated great variation in color and grain and therefore intentionally ordered more than I needed to allow matching.

The dowel rod I received probably was taken from the sapwood; I was hoping it was from heartwood [darker and richer color]; will have to specify this for future purchases.
Editor's note: We regret that cherry cannot be hand selected for heartwood versus sapwood.
