These bits rout corresponding parts that fit together to form a joint with a "hinging" action that is perfect for any curved element. They have an 1/8" radius, which is suitable for 1/4" stock. Canoe makers use them to make the long, seamless joints in the curving hulls of their canoes. In addition, you can use them for small coopered barrels and planters—you'll be pleased with the results. For larger versions suitable for stock up to 1/2" thick, see Rockler bits 91701 and 36992.
Application: Producing joints for curved projects such as circular planters and canoes.
