Step-down hose adaptor from 4" to 2 1/2" shop vacuum hose
This adaptor allows you to step down from a 4" outlet to the 2 1/2" shop vac size hose. It's a great way to keep a small garage workshop clean when you don't have the larger capacity 2 HP shop vacuum.

Worked for my project
Used this to connect from 4" hose from dust collector to 2" port on craftsman router table using 90 degree elbow. If only it would also get the 10 percent that fall below the table. Guess I need a 10 HP dust collector!

I use this currently to attach my 2" shop hose to my Dust collector, as most of my fittings are 2" Works great with my Shop vac connector. I pull this hose all over my shop, and it never separates. Good snug fit!

Good if you have the right ports - I guess
Apparently, my 2-1/4" port is not standard. So, this didn't really do the job I needed. I'll either have to adopt/adapt all of Rockler's hoses & fittings or start all over from scratch and jury rig fittings to fit my machines.

Bought it to use on my...
Bought it to use on my Craftsman router table purchased in the 90's. The adaptor would fit if my table had the needed 7/16 inch clearance to attach the adaptor. Will be looking for a short 2.25 inch section so I can use the adaptor off the back of my table.

I used the adaptor as pictured...
I used the adaptor as pictured and it fit the 4 in. hose well. The sander I used it on (delta 9 in. disc and belt) the fit was loose, I ended up taping up the small end so it would fit the sander without falling off.
