The Darex Work Sharp Knife and Tool Sharpener provides sharpening power for any bladed tool in the home or the shop.
Bladed cutting tools, scissors, knives of all sorts and serrated blades can all be sharpened with the new Work Sharp Knife and Tool Sharpener from Darex (manufacturers of the Drill Doctor for drill bit sharpening). Patent-pending flexible abrasive belts and precision sharpening guides designed for a variety of applications work together to sharpen the knives and blades — which can also include hunting knives, kitchen knives, lawnmower blades and more — to specific angles set by the guides, while the belt flexes to any blade shape and creates a strong, shaving sharp edge. A 40° kitchen knife guide, 50° outdoor knife guide, serrated knife guide and scissor sharpening guide are included with the WSKTS, as are coarse-, medium- and fine-grit abrasive belts. (Contacting the company directly gives you the opportunity to order a different mixture of grits to meet your specific needs.) The handheld Knife and Tool Sharpener can be run on a 12-volt power inverter if you’re away from your shop and was priced at $69.95, as of 2011.
