posted on by
General Tools Pinless and Pin-Type Moisture Meters Handy moisture meters in both pin and pinless types from General tools switch efficiently from detecting moisture in wood to any other building materials.

Whether you prefer a pinless or a pin-type moisture meter, General Tools & Instruments has developed a low-cost option for you. Their MMD4E pin-type moisture meter has two replaceable stainless-steel pins that can be covered with a protective cap. A selection switch changes its sensing from wood to building materials (concrete, drywall), and its overall moisture measurement range is 5 to 50 percent for wood (1.5 to 33 percent for building materials). The MMD4E costs $49.95. For a pinless moisture meter, General Tools has the MMD5NP, with a range of 0 to 99.9 percent wood moisture equivalent for wood and 0 to 56.5 percent WME for building materials. The MMD5NP costs $89.99 as of 2011.
