Author Chris Marshall liked Grizzly’s double hex nut depth stop, which provided accurate measurements with no slippage.

I have the Grizzly G7946 with exactly the same depth stop. I must say I dislike it very much! In order to lock the nuts you have to use two 18mm wrenches which means you have to let go of the spindle from the depth you want the bit to stop at in order to lock them in place. It is very frustrating to adjust the locked nuts to get just the right depth. I am looking for something like the Delta stop rod with the upper nut unthreaded on two sides so that it will slide down the rod and lock the lower nut in place. If you know where I can find such an assembly, I would appreciate it very much! Thanks
