Makita LXSL01 Compound Miter Saw Makita's LXSL01 Compound Miter Saw requires very little maintenance and works with Makita's line of rechargeable batteries.

One of the latest additions to its 18-volt LXT Lithium-Ion lineup is Makita’s LXSL01 Cordless 7-1⁄2" Dual Slide Compound Miter Saw. Weighing in at 27.5 pounds, the LXSL01 has a 2,200 rpm motor with a direct-drive gearbox, which Makita says will entail less maintenance than belt-drive models. The LXSL01 miters 0° to 47° left and 0° to 57° right; bevels 0° to 45° left and 0° to 5° right; and it has positive miter stops at nine settings, ranging from 0° to 45° left and right. One of over 40 tools that will run off the same 18-volt LXT lithium-ion battery, the LXSL01 has 2-1⁄16" vertical capacity and will crosscut 11-3⁄4" at 90°. In 2011, it retailed for approximately $600.
