Rockler Woodworking and Hardware Interlock Signmaker’s Router Template
posted on by
Interlocking Signmaking Template pieces Rockler’s Interlock Signmaker’s Template simplifies the signmaking process by giving you interlocking letter templates to guide your router.

For woodworkers who like to spell things out — in signs, that is — the new Interlock Signmaker’s Template from Rockler Woodworking and Hardware makes things a bit easier. It comes as a series of interchangeable puzzle pieces, in kits featuring both letters and numbers. The pieces snap together and, after securing them with masking tape, you’re ready to rout — you can even arrange them in stacks, circles or other shapes. Letter kits of Signmaker’s Templates contain 40 templates — with duplicates of common letters and three spacers — while each numbers kit contains two sets of numerals 0 to 9 plus nine commonly used symbols. As of 2010, both letter and number kits come in 2-1⁄4" and 4" sizes, with the 2-1⁄4" sets selling for $19.99 and the 4" sets for $29.99 as of 2010.

Your product looks great, my first question. What group or profession would be the most inclined to post their name in a wood sign?

I have used this signmaker template set numerous times and I can say it is very nice, very easy, very fast and the end product is very profesional. This is the only set that does kerning and the insructions that are included (also on the web) are very easy to follow. This product will not do vertical signs - your best bet would be a Milescraft 1212 for that purpose. To my knowledge there is only one font so far - size 2 1/4 and 3 3/8 inch versions. The brass guide and rouer bit are of good quality. Definately need a pluge router for this set.

I have the state park sign makers templet set and I would like to know where to get instructions on how to use them. The instructions that came with the set leave me doing a lot of trial and error.
