SawStop’s 10″ cabinet saw features key safety features, including electronic braking, tool-free blade guard/riving knife system, and improved dust collection.
This summer’s timeframe also marks the first shipments of the newest offering from SawStop, their 10″ Professional Cabinet Saw. The 3hp saw includes, of course, SawStop’s patented electric braking system that keeps the blade from coming into contact with skin, and it also has another patent-pending safety feature: a dust collection system that takes particles through an aerodynamic shroud to a 4″ dust port at the saw’s rear.
You’ll also find on the saw a tool-free blade guard/riving knife system, a quick-release zero-clearance insert and an infinitely adjustable T-Glide fence. As of 2009, if you buy the saw with a 36″ fence system, it’ll cost you $2,899; with a 52″ fence it’s $2,999.
