Shop Stand Lathe Station

It’s important to have your lathe at the right height, both for comfort and safety. For many woodworkers, Rockler’s 28" high Shop Stand Legs position the lathe perfectly to provide all the leverage and control needed when turning. If you’re a little taller and want the option of moving the station around, add a set of locking casters.

The first two options below feature the same size Shop Stand but differ in terms of the amount of shelf storage. The third option is for shops where space is at a premium. Of course, these are just three of many possible configurations.

Enclosed Cabinet + Drawers

Lathe Enclosed Cabinet and Drawers

This enclosed cabinet features three drawers to keep all of your turning accessories dust-free. It's made with one 18"W x 36"L x 28"H Shop Stand. You supply the top, pulls and plywood for enclosing the cabinet and building the drawers. You’ll also need to install blocking at the sides for the drawers. Legs and stretchers are predrilled. 16" drawer slides recommended.

Open Storage + Single Drawer

Lathe Open Cabinet and Drawer

This table, also built with one 18"W x 36"L x 28"H Shop Stand, calls for one drawer to hold key turning accessories and a shelf for plenty of open storage. You provide the top, shelf, drawer parts and pulls, and you'll need to install blocking at the sides for the drawer. Legs and stretchers are predrilled to allow easy mounting. 16" slides recommended.
