How to Spread Glue on Shop Projects with Bamboo Skewers Rather than Glue Brushes

Bamboo Skewer Applicator Rather than buying disposable glue brushes, bamboo skewers spread the glue evenly and can be bought cheaply in bulk.

I keep a bundle of bamboo skewers in the shop, because I find them helpful for many different tasks. My favorite use for them is to create quick, disposable brushes. Just crush one end by smashing it with a hammer on a hard surface. They make great applicators for spreading glue or even paint. You can find these skewers at most grocery stores, and they’re cheap. Even better, there’s no messy cleanup — just toss them when you’re finished.

If you do use brushes and forget to clean them soak them in warm water for a few hours
