Rather than buying disposable glue brushes, bamboo skewers spread the glue evenly and can be bought cheaply in bulk.
I keep a bundle of bamboo skewers in the shop, because I find them helpful for many different tasks. My favorite use for them is to create quick, disposable brushes. Just crush one end by smashing it with a hammer on a hard surface. They make great applicators for spreading glue or even paint. You can find these skewers at most grocery stores, and they’re cheap. Even better, there’s no messy cleanup — just toss them when you’re finished.
