Overview
Having problems with your finish turning hazy, or white? No need to sand or strip, just spray on a coat of Blush Eraser. "Blushing" is caused by humidity and cold weather, so if you work in a humid, damp, or cold climate, keep a can of this on hand. This amazing product re-flows the lacquer and allows the trapped moisture to escape without changing the existing sheen or shade of color. For best results, use when air temperature is between 65-90° F.

I used rubber cement to glue a picture on a paper and put it on my distressed wood dining room table to dry. When I picked it up after the paper was dry, the rubber cement left a stain. Will blush eraser fix it?

BEST ANSWER: I don't think it will. This product is made for nitrocellulose lacquer and is used to temporarily dissolve the top layer of the finish to allow water vapor (the blush) to evaporate out of the finish. Blush is caused when spraying lacquer in high humidity. Water vapor gets trapped in the finish and leaves a white haze called blush. This finish has to still be in the curing process (only a few hours after spraying in most cases) for this to work. Not knowing what your table is finished with and when, I would say it would not work and could cause further damage. You might try buffing the spot with magic eraser followed by some auto paint polish on a rag like maguiar's #9 swirl remover.

I don't know! I'd suggest researching YouTube about using an iron and a cloth ( no steam) first. I used that technique on my table it it worked great. Just can't remember the steps. Blush erase didn't work on a different piece of furniture I had ( probably the wrong laquer /poly.

I have no exp using it for that application. I would think that goo gone or similar would be my first option

Excellent Product
As a hobbyist luthier, I use this on every guitar I have built, about 11 total. I works to remove moisture from Nitro Cellulose Lacquer that occurs when spraying in a humid place like Florida. I use a mist between every coat. It doesn't take much, just a mist. I have found a blush around the top of a headstock 2 weeks after finishing. I sprayed a small amount on the area and it disappeared within a few seconds. I does exactly what it says it will do. This works on Nitro Cellulose Lacquer. I do not think it works on the newer polyurethane epoxy finishes after they have dried. 5 stars all the way.

Sort of worked
I used this on a floor finished with water-based poylurethane. Spraying this on the floor appeared to clear up the issue, but after the finish re-cured and dried, the cloudy/hazy appearance mostly came back.

I sprayed 3 coats of this...
I sprayed 3 coats of this stuff on my SG2000 Yamaha Guitar with no affect whatsoever. Is there a special process. I followed all directions on the can. The white milky shade under the lacquer still remains. What happened?
