Well worth the money

I purchased one of these mallets elsewhere a couple years ago. I use it for woodworking as well as leather working. This is the most durable mallet I've ever used. It was well worth the money and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

I purchased this mallet about a year ago along with my first chisels. It has gotten me through learning dovetails and making my first mortises in pine 2x4s. I like that it doesn't mark up my chisel handles and is quieter than a wooden mallet. The urethane head doesn't seem to get marked up. After a years use mine only has two spots that can be seen upon close inspection so it should keep it's attractive appearance for a long time. When I start a project that requires chopping mortises in hardwood I will acquire one of the heavier mallets from the Wood is Good Co. I decided to refinish the handle as it had more texture than I prefer on a tool handle. I sanded to 400grit and then used boiled linseed oil, shellac and paste wax. It is now nice and smooth, really beautiful and ready to give me many more years of service.
